About our Yorkshire Farm Honey: Soft Set

A Yorkshire honey coming from a co-operative of hive owners throughout the county. The Organic Pantry are currently working to reintroduce hives and bees back onto the land after they suffered colony collapse a few years ago. It will be a while yet but hopefully we will have our own honey again soon. Honey has long been used for its medicinal and nutritional properties. Some of those known are as follows: Good antibacterial and anti-fungal as bees add an enzyme which make hydrogen peroxide. You can use it topically to help heal wounds It really does help with coughing! Medical studies showed a single dose was as effective as a single dose of dextromethorphan in relieving nocturnal cough. Contains flavonoid compounds which act as antioxidants and help the body to fight off cancers and heart disease.
